September 25, 2018 Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual Announces Agency Sales Incentive
 
Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual (MCIM), a Worker’s Compensation insurance company, announced today that it is launching a new European Vacation promotion. The top producing agency will take to the skies and travel to Europe on a trip for two. 
 
The promotion runs from September 17, 2018 until January 31, 2019. To qualify, an agency must bind at least $350,000 in new business premium with MCIM. Cancel-rewrites and Agent-of-Record changes are excluded and will not qualify toward the total premium amount written during the promotion period. The giveaway will be awarded to the qualifying top-producing agency on February 1, 2019.
 
Laurie Zdanis, President & Chief Executive Officer for MCIM, says “We are extremely excited to be able to award an agent an opportunity for international travel.  I am anxious to see how much excitement this promotion will generate!”
 
All agencies that handle MCIM Workers’ Comp in Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Illinois and Indiana are eligible to participate in the European Vacation promotion.
 
MCIM writes Workers’ Compensation for a wide range of employers including artisan contractors, manufacturing, security guards, non-emergency transport, skilled nursing facilities, and home health care.
 
*Winner of the promotion is responsible for any costs in excess of the awarded trip provided by Globus tours. Any transportation to and from the U.S. airport, meals, upgrades, excursions, taxes, passports, visa and similar fees, gratuities, and other charges and costs not expressly included in the trip are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner is responsible for booking travel. Travel must be booked and completed by July 31, 2019 or trip is lost. No trip substitutions, cash equivalents or transfers of prize permitted. Dates of travel are based on availability at time of booking, and travel restrictions may apply. Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents. A minor taking the trip must be accompanied by his/her parent/guardian. Use of the trip is at the winner’s and the trip participants’ sole risk.  Winners must have passport prior to winner announcement.

May 18, 2018 Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual Announces New Indiana Field Underwriter
 
MCIM is proud to announce and welcome Michael Hogan as Marketing Underwriter.  Michael will be responsible for the marketing, underwriting new/renewal business and maintaining agency relationships in the state of Indiana. 
 
Michael has been present in the Indianapolis area creating close working relationships with partner agencies to grow profitable books of business.  He is well known in the Workers’ Compensation industry and joins the MCIM team with 20+ years of experience. 
 
In addition, Michael has in depth experience leading agency reviews, analyzing agent’s books of business and offering solutions to benefit the agent and the insured.  His professional attitude and charismatic personality are assets that will complement and enhance MCIM’s service based goals to provide quality in the marketplace.

March 12, 2018 Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual Announces Giveaway
 
Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual (MCIM), a Worker’s Compensation insurance company, announced today that it is launching a new I’d Rather Be Fishin’ promotion. The top producing agency will tow away a 2017 Hurricane Sundeck 187 boat equipped with a 115 horsepower Yamaha motor, a continental trailer and coast guard kit*. The second highest producing agency will receive a pair of kayaks* and the third top producing agency will receive a $250 gift card to the sporting goods store of their choice.
 
The promotion runs from March 12, 2018 until July 2, 2018. To qualify, an agency must bind at least $350,000 in new business premium with MCIM. Cancel-rewrites and Agent-of-Record changes are excluded and will not qualify toward the total premium amount written during the promotion period. The giveaways will be awarded to the (3) top-producing agencies on July 3, 2018.

September 5, 2017  Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual Announces Jeep Wrangler Giveaway
 
Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual (MCIM), a worker’s compensation insurance company, announced today that it is launching a new Race for the Wrangler promotion. The winner will drive away a bright blue two door 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4 hardtop equipped with a 285 Hp V-6 engine, 5-speed automatic transmission, and UConnect*.
 
The promotion runs from September 1, 2017 until January 1, 2018. To qualify, an agency must bind at least $250,000 in new business premium with MCIM. Cancel-rewrites and Agent-of-Record changes are excluded and will not qualify toward the total premium amount written during the promotion period. The new Wrangler will be awarded to the top-producing agency on January 2, 2018.

May 5, 2017  Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual Names New CEO
 
Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual (MCIM) a Workers’ Compensation carrier providing coverage in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Georgia and Florida has announced the appointment of Laurie A. Zdanis as President & CEO.
 
Ms. Zdanis, who joined MCIM in 2013, formerly had been MCIM’s Chief Operations Officer and Vice President of Underwriting. She brings with her over 20 years of insurance industry experience across a wide variety of business segments. “I’m excited and honored to be given the opportunity to work with the talented leadership team and to deliver on our strategic and operational goals for 2017,” said Zdanis. “We have expanded into new industries and are reinforcing our service commitments to agencies, policyholders, and claimants.”
 
MCIM began as
